I love music in the background and play it as often as possible. We recently had pandora and youtube blocked because of bandwidth problems and inappropriate use. I wish we could just educate kids and train them to do the right thing. You have set up some unique control groups. It will be interesting to see the results with younger kids. I'll be checking back to see your what you find out.
ReplyDeleteHere are some things you may want to consider adding
ReplyDeleteInclude a survey of the students to get their feeling about listening to the music
Add a section to your timeline about presenting your results
Maybe collect student work from those who get to listen to music and those who do not.
Very interesting. Will you survey the parents to find out which kids like to listen to music in the background verse those that like it quiet. Especially since some kids are very sensitive to sounds and might be very easily distracted. I noticed there was not reflective journal, and you did not add how you will share your information. Just suggestions.
